Now that I'm recently retired and spending lots of time alone, I've taken down some sort of psychic shield I didn't even know was up. My body is full of information and I'm just beginning to know when I'm feeling something. I hope to learn what these feelings mean as I continue to pay attention.
Your post is so full of inviting ideas that I'll have to read it again for some other threads. Keep writing.elifairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16494251881875379292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7150142831306967664.post-44683201610314906942011-12-11T04:22:24.850-08:002011-12-11T04:22:24.850-08:00Hi Anonymous. It was an in house training for the agency I work for dealing with sexuality - mostly centered around the topic of how pornography is used. The speaker based most of his talk on information from the book. From his presentation, it sounded well written and full of interesting information. The presenter generalized conclusions in a way I was not completely comfortable with, but I cannot say whether the book actually generalizes in that way or if that was his own interpretation.

The post was obviously more about my own reactions and the rabbit trail one particular piece of information led me toward. But the book sounds like an interesting read. Thanks for stopping in. May I also ask what the seminar was about?

Thanks!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7150142831306967664.post-85067601867761369942011-12-10T15:12:53.786-08:002011-12-10T15:12:53.786-08:00There is so much here, Renae; all of it reflective...There is so much here, Renae; all of it reflective of your deep thought and passionate heart.

I, too, have struggled with these categories (as you well know) and wish there were easier answers - either to explain where we currently find ourselves or to help us understand how to move forward. Neither exist.

What does exist, however, is the beauty and gift of other women, their stories, and our conversations with one another. These are what have redeemed so much for me...and enable the continuation of such.

We have miles to go - both in healing our past and making strides into the future; but so much more gorgeous a journey when not made alone.

I'm grateful you are on and in it with me.

Big love, Renae.
